A long time ago, there was a funny little town called “Bread Bed Best.” The town was super dry because it never rained. One day, the magical queen decided to fix this. She waved her wand and turned everyone’s umbrellas into trees!

But then something strange happened. Suddenly, loud shouting came from the top of a brick tower. The queen in her blue dress was stuck there with some children! Everyone wanted to help, but a scary guard and a big, mean dog blocked the way.

Out of nowhere, a bad guy arrived in a big truck. And guess what? He had a giant red dragon! The bad guy yelled, “Stay back, or my dragon will toast your bread!” Everyone was so scared, they ran into their houses and hid.

Then a brave boy stepped outside. He pointed at the bad guy and shouted, “Hey, what do you want? Bread? A bed? Speak up, you chicken!”

The bad guy sneered, “I want the BEST bread bed in this town! I can’t sleep properly, and it’s driving me nuts!”

The boy thought for a moment. He knew the best bread bed was hidden deep in the forest, but he didn’t want to tell the bad guy. Suddenly, the bad guy yawned…then yawned again…and PLOP! He fell asleep right there on the ground, snoring like a thunderstorm.

The townspeople came out, confused. “What just happened?” the boy asked. Then they noticed a kind witch floating nearby. She smiled and said, “Don’t worry, kids. I put a sleeping spell on him. You are all very brave!”

The townspeople tied up the bad guy and the dragon with ropes and sent them far, far away. The queen and the children climbed down from the tower, cheering, “Hooray for the brave boy!”

That night, another boy — the one who owned the best bread bed — was sleeping soundly in the forest. He woke up the next morning and said, “Wow, I had the strangest dream!”

It was about a monkey dropping an apple, and a man nearby shouting. But because they had been so scared of the dragon, no one really listened to the boy’s story.

 Life went back to normal, but the townspeople were still scared the dragon might come back. They started sleeping on bread covered with fireproof gel.

“Give me my truck back!” the angry boy shouted.
The monkey laughed and said, “Climb up if you want it!” while holding a grilled fish in his hand.
The boy tried to ask his brother for help, but he got stuck in a hole in the ground.
The monkey’s trap blended perfectly with the ground and was very clever.

The monkey was famous in the town for stealing things.
He took grapes from the farmer, a trophy from a badminton player, green straws from the café, and even garbage from the trash bin!
The monkey hung all the things he stole in his tree.
The boy was too scared to climb the tree, so he didn’t know what to do.

Just then, a train arrived, and a couple stepped out.
“Wow, that train ride was so long. I’m hungry now!”
They were walking on the street and stopped in front of the tree.
“Hey, look! That’s the monkey we saved!” said the woman.
“I remember him! He was lost in the forest, and we helped him,” said the man. “Hey, do you remember us?” they asked the monkey.

The monkey got very quiet. He felt bad about all the bad things he had done.
Suddenly, the monkey climbed down the tree and started crying.
“I’m sorry! I was so lonely, and I just wanted attention,” he said.
“It’s okay,” said the couple. “Wherever you are, we will always be your friends.”

The couple had planned to go on a trip for a week, but instead, they stayed for a whole month. They spent time with the monkey and made him feel loved.
